This week has been a rough one for me. Actually, as I type this up I still feel like total crap, but I can say I can tell I am on the road to recuperating now - thank the gods!
I’ve been flat on my back, in bed, with a good fever - the doctor said to stay in bed and sweat it out… that as long as my only symptom was fever, to just take acetaminophen and ibuprofen to keep the fever down when it gets high, and to rest… oh, and drink lots of liquids.
So yeah, I did that. I started feeling like poo on Monday near mid-day… and it is still attacking me. Good times folks, good times!
Well, here’s the list of links for you - I’m actually going to go and lie down again… stupid fever!
Stay healthy folks!

I‘m looking forward to a long weekend. This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada, and while some might wonder ‘why so early’, I’ll remind you that this is Canada… the final harvest has to be done a tad-bit earlier here than other places.
… and sure, I might be out of work right now, but still - I need a break from full-time job hunting!
One would think it is more relaxing than it actually is - I won’t go through was a day is like for a person looking for work, it’s mostly boring, and these days it is mostly done online…
… which, funny enough, is where I find some of the most entertaining things in this world! Here’s this week’s links of goodie-goodness - enjoy!
- Take a Ride on the AT-AT School Bus
- Monkey Island 2 in 3D using Cryengine
- Star Wars: Uncut - Trailer
- LARPing in Google Street View

Ooof - it’s been a while since I got to writing. While I am sorry about that, I’m discovering that job hunting is exhausting along with energy draining.
What makes it worse is that I spend my time looking for work on the same PC I write posts on, and writing AGR posts and cover letters were starting to blur… it was getting disturbing.
I was starting to fear that I might send out a job application and start talking about Felicia Day in it, or link to a cool, yet slightly inappropriate, video - I have to be careful that the lines never blur so that I don’t find myself working at… wait a minute, perhaps that is exactly what I need to be doing! Adding the cool things I come across online to my cover letters, this would guarantee me to find work - right?
If only it were that easy.
Ah well, the job hunt goes on and Karnatos finds himself tired. All is well though! On the plus side, since it has been a while there are a good number of things to check out this week - enjoy!
- Lego Mini-Fig Cake Mould
- Star Wars: A New Hope Lego Chess
- Official Photo of Charisma Carpenter on Legend of the Seeker
- They Might Be Giants: Meet the Elements
- Do You Want To Date My Avatar (Second Life Adaptation)
- Star Wars: Luke Skywalker by ~Mystic-Oracle

This week is my turn for a Friday post. It seems like Karnatos has a leaky roof in his igloo, and it won’t stop blizzarding enough in the Great White North for him to be able to patch it up. He’s been trying to watch for a break in the weather with his oil-powered TV, but it doesn’t get good reception. (On a side note, I am engaged to a Canadian so I can kind of get away with these jokes, right?)
Sadly, I don’t have my fingers all over the web like Karn does, so this probably won’t be as exciting as his stuff. Instead, we’ll call this INFORMATION FRIIIDAAAYY.
What information, you ask? About us, of course!

I‘m posting today’s Rabbit Hole a tad bit late today; I took some time off from writing for AGR to go over my current situation.
This week I, and several colleagues, were laid off from work. While it is gravely disappointing, I also understand conditions and reasons behind what happened and I am waiting with anticipation, and some excitement, to see what is to come over the next few weeks.
I have been laid off before, and it is a rough go, but I’m taking note of what’s going on, assessing my position, and plan on making this experience and my time away from a full time job as enjoyable as possible.
I’ll leave you with my 2 links I have (one is The Guild’s season opener… so I guess it’s 3 links) that you should check out. Both are videos, and both are short but pretty cool.
I plan on being around next week, posting as usual here at AGR - I just needed a break today to digest things.
Starting today I am turning a page in my life’s story.

Seems that my interim video card solution is holding. I left the computer on all day and nothing caught fire and the computer was not frozen. It feels good to have narrowed it down to the video, having a temporary fix affords me some planning time before I get another rig.
So, with my computer woes, and me actually only getting back online yesterday, I’ve had a compressed week of fun - but I did find a couple really cool things. Here’s this week’s collection of cool, as found on my tumblog:
- Anyone Can Happen: Dollhouse Season 2 Poster
- 8-bit trip
- Make your own…

Well, guess what? Karn’s off hunting wolves in the Canadian wilds again. I hear that even though it’s summer, it’s still freezing up there at the north pole. So basically he’s just slacking off in the wilderness and I hope he gets eaten by a bear for it. But I did send out my Aggro Ninja Death Squad to track him down and beat some links out of him. I know he usually gives some sort of commentary (I don’t read it), but I’m basically just going to post his links.
What a surprise, Karn has a Star Wars link for us today. But actually I really like this one. Check out this awesome painting. Yep, it’s Leia Organa on Hoth. She’s no Jar-Jar but she’s not bad herself. Leia in a slave outfit is played out. Leia on Hoth is in. Star Wars paintings can be really cheesy but this one is gorgeous, and not just because Leia is in it.
Hmm…let’s see what this link is about. Oh, we’re doubling down on Star Wars today. Shocker. This is pretty hilarious I have to admit. It’s Star Wars: Longest Crash Ever! Nice job on the video - I was really laughing. Imagine that dude was the one who destroyed the Death Star and the movie ended? Well, he should have left his targeting computer on and stopped screwing around.
I always loved that whole Death Star attack. It’s been said before but how funny is it that the fat guy was named Porkins? I love it. They should have made a whole movie about him. Porkins chokes on a ham sandwich but is rescued by a Jedi who uses the force to pull the sandwich out. Porkins then eats it and becomes a Jedi. He defeats a Sith by falling down a flight of stairs in comedic fashion. What was I talking about?
