Tumbling Down The Rabbit Hole

by Karnatos on November 21, 2008

This bunny is wired, baybee!Hard to believe another week has screamed by, but scream by it did. It feels like I barely got anything done this week, what with all the internet surfing cutting into my productivity time!

Ever notice that sometimes chores and tasks, not to mention that whole day-job thing, really cuts into your internet enjoyment time? It pisses me off sometimes, but I am a creative guy, so I find ways to make the time to just park my ass in front of the computer and get some good one-on-one time with the webbernets.

And this brings me to Friday… the day I share the better things that I’ve found online this week. So here’s the stuff I came across this past that excited me enough to post to my Tumblog at i am karnatos:

  • New Star Trek Trailer
  • “Where the Wild Things Are” Interview with Spike Jonze
  • Custom Buffy and Angel LEGO Minifigs
  • The Monty Python Channel
  • Fanboys: The Ultimate Quest For Star Wars Episode I
  • Bicycle Hero

Buffy and the Scoobies on Twitter

by Karnatos on November 19, 2008

Scoobies from left to right: Buffy, Xander, Oz, Giles, Anya, Willow, and TaraFor the past month I have started following a new group of people on Twitter. I have been finding them to be rather entertaining with their day-to-day tweets. What makes these strangers more interesting than usual is this feeling that I already know them. Some days I can anticipate what they will be talking about… it’s all very very cool Déjà-Vu.

Who are these people? None other than the regular cast from Buffy The Vampire Slayer! You know I’m doomed as soon as it involves Buffy, I can’t help myself! But in my defense, what we have here is one helluva fun daily read of Buffy-filled goodness, and it is right on the ever so popular Twitter.

As of right now I don’t know too much about the who, what, and why regarding this whole Twitter gig of theirs. I stumbled onto the whole thing just before Halloween, and at that time they were role playing the Band Candy episode. At the time I was unsure as to what exactly I had found though.

(before we hit the jump - I’ll avoid spoilers if you’re not caught up to season 3)

Tumbling Down The Rabbit Hole

by Karnatos on November 14, 2008

Yay! This week I have a better pic! Here kitty kitty! This was a busy week for me. Well, busy in the sense that I somehow managed to actually get some things done around the house, and that I am still gainfully employed… despite all the time I spent online tripping across cool shit.

Before I get into it though, I want to throw out an invite for anyone to fire off an email to me if they come across something that’s been dipped in awesome sauce; I’ll be especially grateful if I get the email when I’m at work so I have something to break up the day in my cubicle.

OK, I’ve wasted enough time revving this week’s drop down the hole, let’s get to it…

Pulled straight from the front page of i am karnatos from this past week, I give you the following:

  • Lego Firewall
  • Hi-Res Terminator Salvation Concept Art
  • Essential Headgear For The Modern Astro-Traveller

VW Rabbit... get it? Ooof! Sorry! There’s not a whole lot of interesting stuff that I came across this week folks - and that would have to do with a mad bout of illness and in general just not feeling well enough to be online.

Here’s what did come across as interesting in my medicated state this week; pulled straight from the front page of i am karnatos, I give you the following:

  • Louie Armstrong sings “Super Mario World”

Buffy Between the Lines

by Karnatos on October 30, 2008

Hungry for more Buffy?I just finished listening to the first Buffy Between The Lines episode, and I have to admit that I am impressed overall. What’s Buffy Between The Lines you ask? Well, I’ve mentioned the troupe before in a Dr. Horrible context, but the BBtL crew are a creative and talented bunch that have grouped together to fill in the blanks that happen between seasons in the Buffy universe.

Those of you that are familiar with the series know that each season has a time-gap between them spanning the summer months. BBtL’s first episode starts where season 5 left off. They start the show with a recap of the last episode of season (no worries, I’ll stay away from spoilers folks). I found this recap great, even though I myself am only in season 6 and the whole thing is fresh in my mind. Anyone that’s seen Buffy will be able to quickly situate themselves with what was going on in the series before this episode begins.
