Introducing DrMaustus

by Karnatos on July 23, 2009

I just wanted to do a quick introduction of our newest writer here at Always Go Right, DrMaustus.

His first post on AGR was earlier today, and it focuses on one of his major hobby interests, Hi-Definition video. This week he had a look at the excellent Watchmen motion comic, and graded the quality of the Blu-Ray release of this product.

He is a home theater junkie who loves all things high definition,
and he already has a lineup of Blu-Ray titles that he intends to examine and share with us all - I am looking forward to reading his articles and hope that you all are as well. He also plans on writing some articles on the often confusing side of HD and home theater, which I hope many of you will find informative.

Who is DrMaustus? He is a friend of mine, and he is directly responsible for me getting addicted to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the remainder of the Buffyverse. There are several posts here on AGR that are attributable to his influence over me over the past year that I’ve got to know him.

Watchmen: The Motion Comic (Blu-ray)

by DrMaustus on July 23, 2009

RorschachAlan Moore’s Watchmen graphic novel, one of Time Magazine’s 100 Greatest Novels of All Time, comes to life (kinda) on Blu-ray in Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic. This Warner Home Video release brings a fantastic story to life with great video and audio, and, at over five hours in length, is a tremendous value. The only knock against this release is the meager supplementary material, but it is a tremendous addition to any Watchmen fan’s, or home theater buff’s, personal collection.
