Deep back in the mists of time, when ducks swarmed the skies with abandon and dogs chuckled incessantly, ancient humans waged war on the flying fowl with a mysterious device known as a “light gun.” Brave archaeologists have recently discovered fossils deep underground which will allow us to study this bizarre contraption. You can view this historic find, along with other fossilized treasures at Christopher Locke’s Heartless Machine.
Pretty freaking cool art, right? Besides the light gun, he’s got a whole series of fossilized technology including a Game Boy, a Playstation controller, a Walkman and an N64 controller. Awesome. It’s just a great idea and the execution is sweet. These things really look like fossils and they’re nostalgic and beautiful. The artist has even given them Latin names like “Dexteludicrum Repuerasco.” Yes! My previously worthless eight years of studying Latin is finally paying off! Be sure to read the artist’s descriptions of each piece - they’re quite entertaining.
