Pfffft…. Star Trek.
I’ve been dealing with people saying “Duuude, you gotta go see Star Trek!”, “What do you mean you’ve not seen it yet?! You nuts?”, and my favorite so far “What kind of fan are you, you haven’t seen it?”
Look people, I don’t have anything against Star Trek - I rather like it, as a matter of fact. My favorite series is still TOS, followed by TNG, but I don’t know… I’ve grown tired of Star Trek ever since DS9 mid-series somewhere. I’ve not even seen the last 3 movies, not including the new reboot of the series.
But my real love is for Star Wars. And I am sure that I am not alone, because I know there are still Star Wars fans out there, it pains me to see Star Wars take a back seat to Star Trek just because a new shiny movie is out for it.
So without any further delay, here’s an All-Star-Wars edition of Tumbling Down The Rabbit Hole:
- Death Star Destroys Enterprise
- A Balanced Breakfast
- Star Wars Soundboard
- Fanboys - DVD Release May 19th
- Jennifer Luxmore’s Amazing AT-AT Cake
- It’s a Trap! - Admiral Ackbar Outtakes
Death Star Destroys Enterprise
Muuuuaahhahhahahahaaaa! Loooved this short little video clip! Take THAT, Enterprise!
I don’t usually ponder who’d win, the Federation of Planets or The Empire… but seriously - does it really need to be pondered? Sure, the Empire’s foot soldiers have their aiming problems, but they do have excellent pilots.
I seriously think that if it came down to a battle in the heavens, The Empire would totally pwn the Federation of Planets. I mean, the Empire attacks with a swarm of TIE Fighters, and when accompanied by a Star Destroyer, I would think that a little Federation saucer would be plucked out of the air before the Captain could ever call for evasive maneuvers.
Yeah… my money would be on The Empire.
A Balanced Breakfast
Here’s what all children growing up in the Empire’s shadow eat for breakfast! Little crunchy iron-fortified Trooper Helmets! I imagine them being like the marshmallow treats from cereals like Pac Man cereal, and Lucky Charms.
Yum!
Star Wars Soundboard
Now I have to admit that I was up a little too late last night goofing around with this soundboard. I wanted to make some custom sounds for my PC at work to annoy people, but I ended up falling asleep at the computer. I went to bed, slept hard, woke up and forgot to bring them in. Gah!
Well, this soundboard is not much different from most others, except that it is from the folks at StarWars.com. The sounds are fantastic, and they’ve even gone the extra mile and added a simplistic mixer to the fun filled sound extravaganza!
Fanboys - DVD Release May 19th
I’d almost forgot that this movie was coming to DVD soon… am I ever happy I checked out Amazon last night to see if it was still a pre-order item or if the release date had slipped by without me noticing.
Turns out, it is still available for pre-order, and the current price is set at $13.99 for the DVD. Sadly, I don’t see a pre-order for the Blue-Ray version of the movie, although they do have their usual place-holder page
for such titles up.
I never had the chance to see this when it came to town, it’s quite the deal at $13.99 though!
Jennifer Luxmore’s Amazing AT-AT Cake
Mmmmmmm… cake. Today just happens to be my wife’s birthday too! I wonder how she’d feel about an AT-AT cake for her birthday.
Actually, I know exactly what would happen if I did get this for her. She’d sigh, look at me, force a smile and say “Geee, thanks…”. And that’d be that - she’d forgive me, she knows my Star Wars weaknesses.
It’s a Trap! - Admiral Ackbar Outtakes
I came across this awesome little gem on Geekologie… I love it! I keep coming up with new ones all the time!
“Admiral, you forgot to button your pants…” “It’s a snap!”
or
“Admiral, are you OK?” “I need a nap!”
or how about
“So, Admiral… how’s your girlfriend?” “She has the clap!”
Yeah.. it kills me! WooT!
If you cannot remember the official sequence, here it is for reference… but any real Star Wars fan knows this scene by heart.

Also, if Darth Vader was at the helm, he’d just, like, ram Federation ships with super star destroyers, like the crazy mofo he is.
Hellz yeah - DVader’s the man… once he grew up and became one.
Duke Nukem Forever(Never or whatever) looks kinda lame who cares if it comes out. I don’t know why http://jacehall.tv did a segment on it.
