In honor of Karn’s acting turn as Zombie Number 10 and his Zombie-filled post, I figured I would do some Zombie focused posting myself.  The subject is the absolutely amazing game Plants vs. Zombies from Pop Cap Games.  At first, because of the title, I figured this would just be some quirky/cutesy game…especially since Pop Cap specializes in casual gaming.  I wasn’t even going to buy it.  But then I saw the incredible reviews and I jumped on it immediately.  Boy, that was a great decision.  This is the most fun I’ve had on the PC in a long time.  

People are describing this game as a tower defense title.  And it certainly has major elements of that type of gameplay.  But there are serious differences between the usual TD game and Plants vs. Zombies.  And there are a lot of other styles of gameplay woven in.  The result is an incredibly fun game to play that is very polished.  Not to mention, the creativity displayed in this title is absolutely incredible.  I’ve played plenty of zombie games…but this one displays such imagination.  I didn’t know Pop Cap had this in them - even though my love for Peggle is so huge.  But I am very impressed.  Well, before I say any more, I’m going to let you view this awesome video for the game.  But you should definitely check out the video page on the fun and well-designed official site.  There’s a video there that shows you more gameplay than the following video…but this one is so much fun I couldn’t resist.
