This is not a review of Monopoly Here and Now: The World Edition for the iPhone.  That would be unfair since I’ve only been able to get through one complete game.  And that was a struggle.  

Listen, this game has great reviews in the App Store.  Though it boggles my mind there are 348 five-star reviews for this app out of 654 reviews.  So people must love it.  And I haven’t found any reviews that really have the problem I have with the game.

Even the one-star reviews in the App Store focus on different issues than mine.  They complain about crashes, though I haven’t had this problem.  Many complain about the unfair AI and issues with randomization.  I haven’t noticed this…but then again I’ve only played a single game.  Some people would really prefer the regular version of Monopoly.  This one is international in flavor and the properties, tokens and Chance Cards are different than the usual ones.  I actually thought this was cool and refreshing and I was pretty excited when I first started playing.

So maybe I’m totally and completely alone in my problem with this app.  But I don’t care…I’m never playing it again and I’m sorry I bought it.  What is my issue?
