I have definitely tried a lot of trivia games on the iPhone.  But even still I probably haven’t even tried half of the trivia games available.  I mean - just do a search for “trivia” on iTunes and check out the app list.  It’s just trivia galore.  So I have no idea if Trivia Master (by Devare.com) is anywhere near the best game available.  It’s my personal favorite thus far but even still I am aware it has some significant issues and might not be for everyone even without those issues.  But since I’ve played it so many times and I couldn’t find any other reviews online (other than the comments on iTunes), I figured I may as well give my impressions.

The first thing to know is that this game is freaking hard.  I’m pretty good at stuff like Trivial Pursuit or calling out the answers to Jeopardy before the contestant can say them.  I mean I’m definitely no trivia whiz or anything like that but I think I’m definitely decent.  But I find Trivia Master to be a very difficult trivia game.  When I nail 7 out of 10, that is a significant accomplishment.  And for me to get 8 out of 10 is a rare event that has me cheering.  There are definitely times I get only 2 or 3 out of 10 correct.  I guess my average is probably 6 which is a failing grade I’m afraid.  I just checked my high scores and my best is 8,928.  Considering a perfect score would be 10,000…it’s pretty obvious I never went 10 for 10.  The rest of my high scores are in the 7,000’s.
