Puzzle Dungeon

Okay, so this is a totally selfish post as I will explain later.  I play a lot of casual flash/web games.  And I mean a lot…I try almost every new one that comes out and I check a variety of flash portal type sites daily.  It just fits my lifestyle these days.  With work and everything else I rarely have the time to sit down for a long gaming session.  But with these type of games I can relax for 5 or 10 minutes and have a nice little gaming experience.  I also love how creative and innovative some of these games are.  Sure, plenty are just variations on the same formula.  But others really take risks in a lot of aspects of gameplay.  Since they require so much less time and so much less expense to create than a professional title, the developers can take a chance and try different things out.  Plus, these games are often a one-man show, so the designers don’t have to deal with any kind of corporate structure.

But even though I play a ton of these games, I almost never post about them here.  The reason for that is simple: Jay is Games.  If you’re not familiar with the site, it is a great resource for finding out about new web-based games.  They cover a large majority of all the new good ones that come out.  What’s more, they provide a nice synopsis and review.  And the comments allow for different opinions, tips and walkthroughs.  I usually agree with their reviews, though there are times I don’t.  But even in those cases it’s really not worth it for me to do a whole post about it.  I’ve watched Jay is Games grow over the years and I think they do a fantastic job and continue to improve.
