I‘ve been having some fun with a pretty cool website called Animoto.  It’s nothing revolutionary or extraordinary, but what it does it does simply and well.  And what it does is let you create some nice slideshow videos out of your photos.  I know, there are plenty of other ways to create slideshows and I’m sure some of you out there could whip up some amazing ones without a website like this.  But for me, it’s fun and easy to log on to Animoto and churn out a cool slideshow to send to friends or family.  It’s also simple enough for even the least tech-savvy individuals to enjoy.  There are plenty of easy options to share the finished project.

The process is simple:

1.  Register for a free account (the free account limits you to a 30 second video; for full length videos it is $3 per or $30 unlimited for a year - there are also business options)

2.  Just go ahead and click “Create Video.”  Select “Animoto Short.”

3.  You now have an option: upload the pics from your pc or grab them from an external site like Picasa or flickr.  Either way, it couldn’t be easier.  (Note: when uploading from your PC you can hold down ctrl to grab a bunch at once.)
