I‘ve mentioned before that I occasionally partake in the fun of hidden object games. Sure, I know what you’re thinking: how can a hardcore raider and all-around bad-ass such as Aggro spend time on this casual fluff? Well, you haven’t seen me play them. I blast loud hip-hop music and grab my ultra-l33t gaming mouse just to get into my hidden object finding mode. Then I start screaming at the screen, “Haha, come on you noob give me a challenge! Finding a unicycle in a Mayan Jungle? Oh - it’s been found…maximum pwnage baby! Yeah, that’s right…I’m the man! How did I become so uber?” Then I find more stuff.
So I figured it was time to check out the quality of the hidden object games available on the iPhone. I did some research and came up with Everest: Hidden Expedition. I was a bit wary about how this type of game would port to a smaller screen, but I completely enjoyed it and feel it is a terrific value. It did take me a while to get into the groove because I’m so used to playing on the PC, but soon enough I was finding stuff all over the place like a true rock star.
The theme of the game is that you are one of four teams competing to climb Everest. You are battling other teams known as The Gamers, The Red Hat League, and the Scholars to make your way to the summit first. However, it’s not as if the whole game takes place on a mountain. You soon find you have to venture all over the world to find the secrets to Everest and you will visit a variety of exotic locales.
