Yes, Halloween is on the way and thoughts turn to delicious candy and awesome costumes!  I’ve been pondering a suitably geeky costume.  I don’t want to do something as obvious as the Joker or Iron Man.  But by the same token, I’m not going with an obscure anime character that no one will recognize.  I think less popular Star Wars characters or old-school video game costumes are always good.  But inspiration struck - why not Dr. Horrible?

I don’t think there will be a ton of people wearing Dr. Horrible costumes but I know at least some fans will definitely recognize the look and get a kick out of it.  Of course, easier said than done - how do you make the thing?  The first guide I found was this one, which provides a nice overview with different options for each aspect of the costume.  And wow, a place called Irongate Gallery put together a really nice custom version of the lab coat.  That would have been the easy way, but unfortunately they are already sold out.
