I‘ve played Sillysoft’s Lux on my desktop PC before. So when I saw that an iPhone version called Lux Touch was being offered for free from the App Store, I immediately grabbed it. Lux is a strategy game which is quite similar to Risk. It’s simple but fun and addictive. The iPhone version has some issues, but it’s definitely worth a free download.
Since there are no instructions at all provided in Lux Touch, I’ll briefly walk you through a game. You will see a Risk-like map of the world when you begin. The territories will be randomly filled in with blue, red, green, black or yellow. These colors represent the different players. The human player seems to automatically be assigned blue. I haven’t seen any way to change this. Numbers will also appear in the territories, representing the armies stationed there. This is all randomly done - you can’t pick territories or your initial deployment of forces. Some “draws” will be easier to play with then others.
Okay, you are ready to begin your world conquest.
