Barbie’s got a new neighbor, and he goes by the name of Baggins… Bilbo Baggins.
Not really, but they now share one thing in common, they both have dollhouses! That’s right folks, Bilbo Baggins is moving to new merchandising territory, his hobbit hole is now a dollhouse!
OK, I am just joking around. This is actually a project that is being worked on by Obelia medusa. Check out the absolutely amazing detail inside of the Baggin’s homestead - you can peer through the windows and see the moody lighting inside, the small foyer at the entrance to his home, his guest room off the foyer, and the iron work on the side of the front door. There’s even a meal ready for me when I come to visit! Oh Bilbo, you think of everything!

I‘m not really a huge webcomic person. You might even say I’m a webcomic noob. I think I just always forget to keep track of them. Sometimes I pop by my favorites or check the more popular ones to see what they’re up to. But I can go months without seeing a webcomic unless someone sends me a link to an especially funny strip.
On the other hand, I sometimes get the urge to just check out random comics. I’ll just browse around until I find one I really like. If I like the most recent five or so strips, I’ll go right back to the first one and sometimes read through a year’s worth of comics in one sitting.
Most of the really good webcomics are quite well known. I like Dinosaur Comics and Dr. McNinja amongst others but I wouldn’t bother posting about them because they are so popular already.
But a couple of weeks ago, I was in my mode of hitting up random webcomics. In this instance, I was just clicking stuff at random on a website called Webcomics Nation. To be honest, most of the stuff I clicked on was pretty terrible. At first, I thought Demon Planet fit right into that category. The art didn’t look like much - just somewhat rough drawings on paper that were scanned into a computer. But when I looked more carefully, I realized the style of those drawings was pretty cool.
