Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

Dr. Horrible's Sing Along BlogJoss Whedon (who is he? He’s Mr. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mr. Firefly, and more) has a three-part internet mini-series; the first of which ought to be posted today, July 15th.

Dr. Horrible came out of the writer’s strike this past winter - Joss Whedon put pen to paper to create this limited-time internet mini-series.

It’ll have a brief life online for free viewing, and soon after it’ll be made available for download for a ‘nominal fee’ (according to the “Master Plan” on Dr. Horrible’s official site).

The schedule is as follows (also from the “Master Plan“):

ACT ONE (Wheee!) will go up Tuesday July 15th.
ACT TWO (OMG!) will go up Thursday July 17th.
ACT THREE (Denouement!) will go up Saturday July 19th.

After that? It seems that it is destined to the world of DVD, hopefully with all the fun stuff that usually accompanies that medium.

I also highly recommend checking out this excellent fan site (check out the Internet Buzz section for lots of good stuff).

And if you were particularly attentive when you clicked on the official site’s link, you wouldd have noticed there’s also an online comic book to be read.

And remember… the free-to-watch episodes will only be online until midnight, July 20th! If this has your interest, you’ll want to check out it before it’s gone. If you enjoy the mini-series, buy the episodes when they are available for download, or buy the DVD when it is released.

Or Both. Joss would just love it if you bought both.
